Iguazú National Park, where Iguazú Falls – Argentine Side are located, was created on October 9, 1934, with the aim of protecting the flora and fauna of the subtropical rainforest and Iguazú Falls. It covers an area of more than 67,000 hectares. In 1984, it was declared a “Natural World Heritage Site” by UNESCO for its biological diversity.
