The area around Iguazu Falls – Brazil is also rich in biodiversity. It is part of Iguaçu National Park, home to a preserved subtropical forest and a wide variety of plant and animal species. With more than 275 waterfalls, Iguazu Falls form one of nature’s most impressive spectacles. The majestic Devil’s Throat is the largest and most famous fall, reaching about 80 meters in height. In addition, the Falls are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and have great historical and cultural importance. The region contains archaeological sites and rock paintings left by Indigenous peoples who inhabited the area thousands of years ago. Falls Trail (Walkway)

Important Tips
- Bring a raincoat (or buy one on site) – the waterfall spray can get you very wet!
- Sunscreen and insect repellent: There are open areas and dense forest.
- Wear comfortable sneakers (the walkways are safe, but can be slippery and have steps).
- Buy your ticket in advance: purchase your ticket online ahead of time.
- Do not feed the coatis (wild animals that roam around the park).
- Leave drones and pets at home (they are not allowed).
Is It Worth It?
The Brazilian side is the best for panoramic views and amazing photos. If you want a complete experience, combine it with the Argentine side (closer to the waterfalls) and Macuco Safari.
Tip: For a full day of adventure, combine your visit with Bird Park (located next to Iguaçu National Park) and the Macuco Safari boat ride.
